THOMPSON-GRANT— At the residence of the bride's parents, on the 8th inst. by Rev. A. Falconer, assisted by Rev. W. McC. Thompson, brother of the groom, James A., son of the Rev. James Thompson, Durham, to Minnie K., eldest daughter of Thos. Grant, Esq., Lyons Brook.

RICHARDS-HATCH—At Roxbury, Mass., Aug. 11th, 1897, by Rev. S. C. Gunn, Vere P. Richards, formerly of Murray Harbour, P. E. I., and Annie E. Hatch, of Millsville, Pictou County.

Deaths.

LOGAN— At Hardwood Hill, on the 4th inst., William Murray Logan, son of the late J. J. Logan, aged 21 yrs.

CASSIDY— At Brule, Sept. 2nd, 1897, Mrs. Cassidy, aged 75 years, sister of Mr. James Brown, Pictou.

McDONALD— At the home of her son-in-law, Mr. George McKay, Ferrona, on Friday, Sept. 10th, Margaret Sutherland, widow of the late Chas. McDonald, of Pictou, in her 86th year.
