Daughter of George Calivn MacKay and Margaret Nina Wilson MacKay.

Marguerite was born 18th July 1903 in Meadowville, Pictou County, NS. She married Hugh A Sutherland in 1936.

Hugh Allison Sutherland was the son of Daniel and Margaret MacKenzie Sutherland of Heathbell.
