Description
“Memorandum of an agreement made and entered unto this fifteenth day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven. Between John Heughan of Mount Thom in the County of Pictou farmer of the one part, and John J. Munroe of the West River of Pictou in the County of Pictou blacksmith of the other part as follows that is to say the said John Heughan having sold the farm which he now owns and occupies at Mount Thom together with all the buildings and improvements thereon for which the aforesaid John J. Munroe promises to pay to the said John Heughan the sum of fourteen hundred dollars of lawful money of the Dominion of Canada. The first payment of six hundred dollars to be made on or before the first day of May eighteen hundred and seventy seven when a a good and lawful Deed will be given and the remaining eight hundred dollars to be paid in two instalments. The first instalment of 400 dollars to be paid on the first o January eighteen hundred and seventy eight and the second of four hundred dollars to be made on or before the first of May eighteen hundred and seventy nine.
Possession of the farm one half of the house and one barn given immediately. In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereto subscribed their names.
