Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
This is the last Will and Testament of me Andrew Thain presently of Pictou in the County of Pictou Joiner.
I give devise and bequeath unto my Sister Margaret Thain her heirs and assigns all my estate interest right title and undivided portions or share in the lands houses tenements and hereditaments situate in the east end of the Town of Pictou bou8nded in the South by Water Street, on the East by Coleraine Street on the north by lands owned or claimed by one Carpenter James Carworth and on the West by lands owned and occupied by William Murdock being the property known as the Royal Oak home and lot as also all my estate and interest in all and any lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever situate in Nova Scotia. To Have and To Hold the same to my said Sister Margaret Thain her heirs and assigns,
And I also give devise and bequeath to my said Sister all and singular my debts credits effects and personal property and estate whatsoever and wheresoever to which I shall be in any way entitled or of which I shall be possessed at the time of my death all which real and personal estate she the said Margaret Thain shall hold possess and enjoy for the sole purpose and absolute use of herself and her heirs and assigns, the said estate being chargeable first and only with my debts and just and lawful claims and expenses.
And I hereby nominate and appoint my said Sister Margaret Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set and subscribed my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight..

Signed Sealed and executed by the said Andrew Thain as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who present at the same time in his presence in the presence of each other subscribed the same our as witnesses to his execution of this will.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Andrew Thain late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Joinerdeceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 6th. day of February AD 1905.
