Description
Colin MacDonald was born 11 May 1853 at Toney River, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the son of Colin and Rachel McDonald, Toney River. On March 2, 1876, Colin married Elizabeth Fraser of Saltsprings, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas and Jessie Fraser. Colin and Elizabeth were the parents of Emma McDonald born 1891. Emma married Murdock McCuish in 1914 and twenty years later they purchased the McCulloch House. From that day onward Emma and Murdock made it their mission to restore and promote the original home of Rev. Thomas McCulloch.
