Description
Obituary for John U Ross printed in the Pictou Advocate on the 12th of November 1936. Born in 1856, John U Ross was the son of Alexander Peter Ross of Halifax and Sarah MacKay Ross of Pictou. He entered Pictou Academy in 1867 and after graduating worked at the law office of John David McLeod. He was admitted to the bar in 1883 and started his own practice in 1885.
