Charlotte Dobson Little
Charlotte was born at Carriboo about 1853 a daughter of James and Phoebe Dobson. James was born in Ireland, the son of George and Charlotte Dobson. Phoebe was English.
Charlotte worked as a taylor before her marriage to Samuel Little on the 29th of August 1878 at Carriboo. Charlotte, Samuel and their family lived on St Andrews St, Pictou. Their children were: Rachel, James, Mary, George H, John H, Phoebe M.
Charlotte Dobson Little died on the 29th of December 1909 at the age of 58 from diabetes.
The new england colonial type home Charlotte and Samuel raised their family in still stands in the town of Pictou. It was built circa 1850 for Samuels father, John Little, who was a ship carpenter. Samuel grew up in the home as did his children. The home remained in the Little family for four generations.
