Mary Ann Norcott was born 2 June 1865, St Johns, Newfoundland.  Married Charles Henry Thompson and lived in Pictou, Nova Scotia.  Mary Ann and Charles had eight children including Abbie Frances who married Robert Webster McFarlan.  The other children were: William Henry, John, James, Charles, Margaret, Ann and Harold.  Mary Ann Norcott Thompson died 27 June 1944 at the age of 79.
