Description
Abbie Frances was born 13 October 1885 in St John's, Newfoundland to Charles Henry Thompson and Mary Ann Norcott Thompson. Abbie and her parents moved to Pictou, Nova Scotia when she was young.
In 1906, at the age of 20, Abbie married George Finaly McDonald, from Stewiacke, Colchester County, NS. George and Abbie had four children, Charles, Stuart, Arthur and Hazel. George McDonald died suddenly in 1913. He was 35 years old.
In 1919 Abbie married Robert Webster McFarlan of Pictou. Robert W was the son of David Harper McFarlane and Janet Webster McFarlane. Abbie and Robert "Bob" had two daughters, Janet and Irene. Their youngest daughter Irene died in 1936 of scarlet fever.
Abbie and Robert lived on Marine Street in Pictou. Abbie's husband Bob died in 1950 and Abbie died in 1967.
