Papa, aka, David Harper McFarlane was born in August 1837, St Andrews, Charlotte County, New Brunswick to Archibald and Elizabeth McFarlan. David was the father of Robert W McFarlane.

Mama, aka, Janet Webster was born in September 1847, Pictou, Pictou County, Nova Scotia to James and Janet Johnston Webster. Janet was the mother of Robert W McFarlane.

Betty, aka Elizabeth Ruggli was born at Massachusetts about 1910 to Elizabeth McFarlane Ruggli and Edward Ruggli. Elizabeth was a daughter of David and Janet and sister to Robert W.

This is possibly a photo of (left to right) - Robert aka Bob McFarlane, his niece, Betty Ruggli, his mother, Janet Webster McFarlane, his step daughter, Hazel MacDonald and his father, David Harper McFarlane.

Hazel was the daughter of Abbie Thompson MacDonald McFarlane and George Finlay MacDonald. As well as the step daughter of Robert W McFarlane. Hazel married James Drummond MacGregor and they lived in New Glasgow, NS.
