Abbie Francis Thompson McDonald MacFarlane death notice printed in newspaper.
Abbie was born 13 October 1885 at St Johns, Newfoundland, the daughter of Charles Henry Thompson, an engineer, from England and Mary Ann Norcott Thompson of New Foundland. The Thompsons moved to Pictou when Abbie was a child. Abbie had at least two siblings, William Henry Thompson and Charles Henry Thompson.
When Abbie was 21 she married George Finlay McDonald in Pictou in 1906. George was a merchant, born in Stewiacke, to John and Margaret McDonald. George died from an accident at the age of 35 on 10 February, 1913.
Abbie's second husband was Robert Webster MacFarlane, an engineer, the son of David Harper McFarlane and Janet Webster McFarlane. They were married 12 November 1919. Robert Webster McFarlane died 14 May 1950 at the age of 79.
Abbie died on 16 March 1967 at 81 years.
