Margaret Anne MacLean was born 11 November 1845 in Hopewell, Pictou County, Nova Scotia to Andrew MacLean and Cahterine MacLeod MacLean.
Margaret married Hector Campbell Marshall 26 August 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. Hector was the son of David Marshall and Jane Gordon Fraser. Hector was married first to Elizabeth Jane MacLean, 20 October 1871.
Margaret and Hector had children: Andrew David Marshall born 18 July 1880; Mabel Gordon Marshall born 2 April 1884; Beatrice Cassie Marshall born 13 June 1886.
Margaret died 15 January 1919 and Hector died 4 January 1926. They are buried at Old North Burying Ground, Providence, Rhode Island.
