Jane or Janet Brown Tanner 

Jane Brown was born in Scotland, the eldest daughter of Samuel Brown of Pictou.  She married Richard Tanner about 1840. 

Jane and Richard had children: Rachel, Elizabeth, Thomas, William and Charles.

Jane or Janet Brown Tanner died 28 September 1895 in Bayview, Pictou at 80 years of age - from the Eastern Chronicle, 3 October 1895.
