My Dear Friend
Dont seem to have a postal in my bag so will drop you a note to let you know that I have not forgotten you and our pleasant hours together.
Just came from the Metropolitan Art Gallery so I'm feeling terribly high now. The art and sculpture of ancient times interested me the most of anything
I have been goint to shows and doing the usual round of sightseeing and as --- to the folks at home - there are some buildings here higher than the water tank at home. Really it is a gigantic and marvelous city. After all we Americans are a mighty people and I'm rather proud of ourselves.
Think Fred will leave for Detroit tomorrow and I'll stay on a day and meet him in Chicago.
