Dear sister
Emma just came down from the Hospital Dad is resting good he was wanting to go to sleep so I got out I only had another half hour to stay any way he was pretty sick after the eather but is all over it to day his main trouble last night not getting enough water but he can have all the water and butermilk he wants to day I just wrote Maggie a few lines I don't think I'll go home for two or three days yet I was up in the room when the doctors did the dressing this morning they said he was doing fine his temperature was almost normal I thought they woudl chase me out but they didn't Im getting to be a privileged character around there the nurse left me in charge of Dad for a couple of hours while she got her dinner and dressed up I asked her if I was in the way to night and she said I was a handy thing around the house and she would just as soon have me stay for a couple of days
