Description
William Wilson
The death of Mr. William Wilson, at the age of 87, took place at his home on Spring Street on Monday morning, July 8th after a few days illness.
Mr. Wilson was a resident of Louisville, River John, where he farmed and kept a store, until four years ago when he purchased a home in Pictou and came here to live. He was well known in the western part of the county, and was always looked upon as a man of sterling and upright character. He leaves a family of five children: Frank, on the homestead at Louisville; Bruce, of the same place, who lives on a farm near by; William, of Somerville, Mass.; Mrs. Chisholm, of Westville, and Mrs. Calvin MacKay, of Pictou.
The funeral was held on Wednesday and was conducted by Rev. Dr. Baird, assisted by Rev. A. D. Stirling, and at Louisville where Rev. J. A. Forbes assisted. The service at Louisville was on the lawn of the deceaseds homestead, interment being in the cemetery neary by, the trip from Pictou having been made by auto. The services at both places were largely attended and appropriate musical selections were rendered by the choirs.
