Description
This indenture made this first day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty three between John Gunn of the ____ county of Pictou and province of Nova Scotia merchant and Barbara Gunn his wife of the one part witnesseth that or and in consideration of the sum of eighteen pounds good and lawful money of province aforesaid in hand well and truly paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said John Gunn hath sold, bargain, abutted, release, enfeoff convey, granted and confirmed and by these presents doth sell, bargain, release, enfeoff, conveyed, grant, and confirm unto Robert McKay has hereby and assign forever all that certain tract or lot of land situate lying and being on such broom pouch abutted and bounded as following. Beginning at the shore at Hugh Fraser west side line thence to run along said line ninety more rods eleven links thence by a right angle west seven rods thence a right angle north ninety more rods eleven links or to the shore thence along the land shore to the place of beginning containing by extermination four acres more or less together with all building having and gut houses, houses, water and water courses, property commodity and appertaining hereto with the reversion and reversions rents, issues, profits, enfeoff, melty hereinto belonging or in any lawful appertaining to him the said Robert McKay his heir executors, administrators and assigns forever for his and their own and only proper use benefit and behalf furthermore the land John Gunn doth by these presents for himself his heirs executors, presents, will warrant and forever defend unto the said Robert McKay his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in a quite and peaceable possession free from the molestation of any person or persons from under him claiming or otherwise from henceforth and forever being the free intent and meaning of these presents in witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seal the day and year within written.
