This indenture made this twenty ninth day of April in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty two. Between Ewan Cameron of the Big Island of Merigonish in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia Yeoman of the one part and Duncan Cameron of the said Big Island County and Province aforesaid Yeoman of the other part witness that the said Ewan Cameron to have in hand well and truly paid by the said Duncan Cameron at or before the making and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is acknowledged Hath and by these presents Doth Grant bargain, sell, release, transfer, and set over unto the said  Duncan Cameron all that certain for parcel of land situate lying and being on the Big Island f Merigomish aforesaid Bounded as follows on the East by lands no in possession of Hector McDonald south by the Harbour of Merigomish west of lands in possession of Alexander ___, North by the Gulf of St. Lawrence containing one hundred acres more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the before described premises and every part and parcel thereof and also the right title interest claim or demand of Heir the said Ewan Cameron his Heirs executors and administrators which he now hath or may hereafter have to him the said Duncan Cameron his Heirs and assigns forever and the said, and the said Ewan Cameron for himself his heirs executors or administrators Doth Covenant Grant promise and agree to and for the said Duncan Cameron his Heirs executors administrators or assigns that the before described premises and every past and parcel thereof unto him the said Duncan Cameron his heirs Executors administrators or assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
