Description
Death of Mattio
This well known Indian Hunter died on Tuesday night, at the age of 64 years, from the effects of a cold caught when bear hunting last September. No one was better known along the East River and St. Mary's, he being both a hunter and fisherman. He is the last of the old Indians around here who made his living chiefly by hunting. A subscription of $5.00 was raised to help provide for his burial.
