No 18. Held and inquest on view of the body of Newel Salome, an Indian at Indian Cove this 19th day of July 1859
— Verdict —
That the said Newel Salome, came to his death on Saturday last the sixteenth instant near the mouth of the big Gut Middle River by accidentally falling out of a canoe into the water while in a state of intoxication
