Will of John David McKenzie, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I John David McKenzie of the Town of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Trader, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament.

I give, devise and bequeath to my son James B. McKenzie that lot of land in the Town of Pictou bounded as follows: - On the north by the Old Road, so called, on the West by the east line of the Norway Farm, on the South by the I.C.R. and on the East by lands of Adeline Patterson.

I bequeath in trust to my executors the sum of $100.00 to be invested at their discretion for my grand-daughter Helen Johnston Carson and $100.00 to be invested for my grand-daughter Margaret McKenzie Carson.

All the residue of my estate of whatever kind and wherever situated I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Annie Carson.

I hereby appoint John Carson, my son-in-law of Pictou aforesaid and Robert McLellan also of Pictou, Principal of Pictou Academy, to be executors of this my will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand subscribed to this my will, this twenty-second day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of John David McKenzie late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Trader deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 30th. day of April AD 1910..
