"John McRae fenced the Mtn Cemetery in 1888. Set iron posts in stones which he drilled the holes in by hand. Furnished all material did all the work and painted the fence for $100.00 -

This is the way he started to make money. It was a nice picket fence square pickets and not [too] thin you can see the drilled stones as they are still there."
