The Scotsburn tug-of-war team were the champions in the tug-of-war event at the Pictou North Colchester Exhibition for six successive years, from 1952 until their retirement in 1957. Teams they successfully pulled at the Exhibition were Seafoam, Ferguson Industries, Pictou Shipyards, Trenton Car Works, Oxford, Sundridge, Welsford, Abercrombie and Brule. Gordon Muir was the coach.
