Description
Petition sent to the King and the Province of Nova Scotia from Pictou Academy, not dated, asking for them to act on their earlier petition saying :
To The Honorable his Majesties Council for the Province of Nova Scotia
The Petition of the Subscribers, trustees of the Pictou Academy, Humbly
That Your Petitioners have learned that a petition has been presented to your honors by a number of the Inhabitants of the district of Pictou respecting the Pictou Academy; and your Petitioners have just received a copy of similar petition presented to the honorable the house of assembly. Your Petitioning conceiving that the interests of the public and of the lord his petition require that an answer should be submitted by them and the other trustees to your honors most respectably inherit your honors to postpone the consideration of the bill in favour of the Pictou Academy now before you honor until the trustees can have the opportunity of presenting their indications from the changes contained in said petition.
