Estate of Paul Hamilton, late of Westville, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Paul Hamilton of Westville in the County of Pictou, Merchant, being of good and perfect mind and memory and knowing the uncertainty of time do hereby make and ordain this my last Will and testament.

 First and principally I commit my Soul to God who gave it, and my body  to the earth to be buried with a decent Christian burial, believing the same shall rise again at the general judgement, and all the Real and personal property goods and effects I own in the County of Pictou or elsewhere and with which it has pleased God to bless me I  give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane Hamilton and her Heirs and assigns, including the homestead property on which I now reside in said Westville, bounded on the Northwest by the old Gairloch Road (so called) on the North East by a lot of land in possession of one Catherine McDonald, on the Southeast by the Acadia Railway Siding, and on the Southwest by a lot of land in possession of the heirs of one David Hynds, household furniture, fixtures and furnishings, all moneys, securities for money, notes, bonds, book accounts, debts due, or coming sue, goods, stock in trade, and all my effects of whatever kind to her the said Jane Hamilton her heirs and assigns.

I hereby constitute and appoint my son William P. Hamilton executor and my said wife Jane Hamilton executrix of this my last Will.

In witness whereof I have signed and Sealed and published and declared this Instrument as my will at Westville in the said County of Pictou, this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety four.

The said Paul Hamilton at said Westville on the said twentieth day of June A.D. 1894 Signed  and Sealed this Instrument and published declared the same as and for his last Will , and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have signed our names as subscribing witnesses, the same having been read and explained to the said Paul Hamilton before being Signed.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and a quarter pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of (name Alexander W. McBean has been scratched out) Paul Hamilton, late of Westville, in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou, this 1st day of October A.D. 1894.
