Will of Margaret B Grant late of Marshdale Co. of Pictou Spinster Deceased

Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds

In the name of God Amen. I Margaret B Grant of Marshdale County of Pictou Province of Nova Scotia Farmer being of sound mind and memory knowing the uncertainty of life do make my  last will and testament and as touching my worldly estate as it pleased God to bless me in this life after all my just debts are paid and discharged

I give and bequeath to my beloved cousin Mary Ann MacKenzie of Glengarry wife of John MacKenzie Glengarry the farm on which I now reside concsisting of one hundred and twelve acres willed to my mother Jessie Grant by ( word my inserted here) my father Wm Grant to her and her heirs situated on the West Branch East River farm and buildings likewise I bequeathed the said Mary Ann McKenzie wife of John McKenzie my bed clothing and bedding and Carpets

I give and bequeath to my Uncle Evan McDougald of Cumming's Mountain the sum of one hundred dollars likewise I give and bequeath the balance of my money after all business is settled and collected and stock (words hay grain inserted here) hay grain and farming implements-stores and bedsteads (word sold inserted here) sold, the one half to the Hopewell Church the other the Aberdeen Hospital that is in accordance with the rest of my will

Furthermore I hereby constitute and ordain Roderick Fraser of Marshdale and John Gordon of Glengarry to be my executors of my last will and testament

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto my name subscribed and sealed affixed this twentieth day of September  Anno Domini 1900.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Margaret B Grant late of Marshdale in the County of Pictou Spinster deceased  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 25th  day of September AD 1900.

Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 25th. day of September AD 1900.
