Estate of John Grant, late of Little Harbour, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I John Grant (Peter's Son) of Little Harbour in the County of Pictou, make this my last Will and Testament.
First - I give and bequeath unto my son Peter Grant all my real and personal estate of whatever nature I may be possessed of at the time of my decease under the following consideration, viz- I order that m y beloved wife Christy Grant be properly and fitly provided for by my Son Peter, and if she at any time prefer, that one third of the House we now occupy together with one third the furniture be set apart for her use, and should she desire it that she have the use of two Cows and Six Sheep yearly and the said Peter Grant shall make all fitting and necessary provision for her comfortable support and maintenance.
Second - I order that my son Peter Grant pay unto my Daughter, Elizabeth Grant the sum of One hundred dollars in ten yearly payments first payment one year after my decease, and that she be provided with a comfortable maintenance as a member of his family while she remains in his House unmarried and to have one room set apart for her use if she prefers it.
Third - I appoint and nominate my son Peter Grant my Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments of whatever nature.
Signed Sealed published and declared as and for the last Will and Testament of said John Grant this Eighth day of March one Thousand eight hundred and Seventy Seven.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Grant late of Little Harbour in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 28th day of September A.D. 1893.
