The last Will and Testament of Donald Grant Shoemaker of Vale Colliery

I Donald Grant considering the  uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory(blessed by Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and testament in  manner and form following, that is to say,

I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine Grant all my real estate, personal property of whatever kind, and all goods, and chattels. These and all things mentioned I bequeath to the aforesaid mentioned my beloved wife Catherine Grant whom I appoint hereby Sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, if any -

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now hereby subscribed by Donald Grant (Shoemaker) the testator in presence of each of us, and was at the same time declared by him to be his last Will and Testament and we at his request sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Donald Grant, late of Vale Colliery, in the County of Pictou, Shoemaker, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 13th day of Decr. A.D. 1884.
