Estate of Alexander Graham, late of Westville, Merchant deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I Alexander Graham of Westville in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Merchant, being at present in good health but sensible of the uncertainty of life and desirous that after my decease my estate be settled without trouble to my heirs do make this my last Will and Testament as follows -
First - I will that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid.
Secondly - It is my will that my executors hereinafter mentioned shall provide my sister Mary during her lifetime such necessaries of living as she may require in the same manner as I have done in my lifetime, and to let her have her choice who to live with and shall also pay the necessary expenses of her decent burial at her decease and for the purpose I instruct and empower them to retain in their hands, as long as she lives such or portion of my estate as they deem necessary for this object.
Thirdly - I will that on the death of my said Sister any residue of the property held by my executors for her support shall be divided among my children.
Fourthly - It is my will that Jenny Redpath and Henry Redpath get twenty five Dollars each. I direct my executors to deposit in the Dominion Savings Bank in their name in trust for the children of my deceased daughter Eliza till the youngest of them reaches the age of Twenty one years then to be divided equally with accumulated interest.
Fifthly - It is my desire to give the home mission, the foreign mission, and the French mission Twenty dollars each.
Sixthly - Remainder of my estate as soon as it can be advantageously realized, I direct my executors to divide into six shares and to pay one each to my Daughters Jane wife of Charles C. Fraser, Sarah wife of John L. Steele, Bella wife of James K. Fraser, Charlotte wife of Alexr. C. Fraser, Jessie wife of Howard Fraser, and my son Samuel.
Seventhly - For the better carrying out the purpose of this last Will and testament, I hereby empower my executors to sell all my real and personal property, either at public or private Sale, and at Such times as they may deem for the advantage of my estate, and to give Deeds of such real estate, as fully as I could give in my lifetime.
Lastly - I appoint as executors of this my last Will and testament, my son in law Alexr. Fraser, and Donald Hayman Elder, Westville, in testimony whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my hand, and Set my Seal this Fourteenth day of June A.D. 1897.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page & a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander Graham late of Westville in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this 20th day of July A.D. 1898.
