This is the  last will and testament of me Alexander A Garvin of Pictou in the County of Pictou Ship Carpenter

I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Alexus Garvin of the Town and County of Pictou all my real and personal property of every kind and nature whatsoever and wheresoever situate To Have and To Hold the same to her for the term of her natural life and after her death I give and devise the same to my daughter Barbara Breen of Pictou aforesaid To Have and To Hold the same to her, her heirs and assigns forever free from the control of her husband and with full power to Sell and dispose of said property without the consult of her husband.

I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Anna Isobel wife of Thomas Wet of Seattle Washington Territory in the United States the Sum of two hundred Dollars the same to be paid within a reasonable time after the death of my said wife.

I give devise and bequeath to my Grandson Henry Howard Garvin of Boston in the United States Two hundred and fifty dollars Canada money to be paid within a reasonable time after the death of my said wife.

I give devise and bequeath to my Son James Stewart Garvin Master Mariner now Sailing out of New York the Sum of five dollars to be paid within a reasonable time after the death of my said wife.

I order and  direct my executors hereinafter named to pay all my just debts.

I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Alexus Garvin and my said daughter Barbara Breen and the Survivor of them Executrix and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness Whereof I the said Alexander A Garvin have hereto my hand Subscribed at Pictou this first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety nine

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander A Garvin  late of Pictou in the County of Pictou Ship Carpenter deceased  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 31st.  day of January AD 1901.

Witness my hand at Pictou  this seventh day of February AD 1911.
