Estate of Michael Garvin, late of West River Road, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

This is the last Will and Testament of me Michael Garvin of West River Road in the County of Pictou, Farmer. 

First. I give devise and bequeath the Farm on which I now reside Situate on the West River Road in the said County to my Son in Law Charles D. Gammon and Margaret A. Gammon his wife for and during the term of their, and each of their natural lives. and at the decease of the survivor of them the said Farm is to become the property of their son Claud Garvin Gammon for his Sole benefit, use, and disposal forever.

Second. I give devise and bequeath the Lot of Land owned by me and Situate in the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, to my So John Garvin, to his own Sole benefit, use, and disposal forever.

Thirdly. I give dispose and bequeath all of my personal property to my son in law Charles D. Gammon and Margaret A. Gammon his wife, and I further direct that the Sum of Three Hundred Dollars shall be paid by them unto my Grandson Claud Garvin Gammon, on hid coming at the age of Twenty one years, out of the proceeds of the said personal property so devised, to the said Charles D. Gammon and Margaret A. Gammon his wife.

Fourthly. I direct that my beloved wife Elizabeth Garvin have her keep and maintenance during the term of her natural life, of and from the farm property so above willed and bequeathed to the said Charles D. Gammon and Margaret A. Gammon they and each of them to provide for her is a suitable manner becoming her station in life, during the remainder and full term of her natural life.

I nominate, constitute, and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Garvin and my son in law Charles D. Gammon Executrix and Executor of this my  last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills and Testaments by me at any time made.

In witness whereof I have hereto Subscribed my name and affixed my Seal this Thirteenth day of December A.D. 1898.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and  a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Michael Garvin late of West River Road, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
