THIS is the  last will and testament of me Sarah Gallant of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Widow, I hereby revoking all former will at any time made by me.

1. I direct all my just debts, funeral and Testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

2. I give and bequeath the following legacies to the several persons hereinafter named: To my sister in law Mrs. Shirley Gallant the sum of three hundred dollars; To Mrs. Mary Jane Arsneault of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, niece of my late husband the sum of six hundred dollars; to my sister in law Mrs. Sarah Jordan the sum of three hundred dollars; to my brother Louis Thorn the sum of three hundred dollars; to my niece Alphosine Chassion of Magdalene Islands the sum of three hundred dollars; to my niece Louise Chassion of Magdalene Islands the sum of three hundred dollars; to my nephew Charles Thorn, son of Joseph Thorn the sum of two hundred dollars; to my niece Mamie Sears of Magdalene Islands the sum of three hundred dollars; To Mrs. Saraphine Veniot wife of Alcide Veniot, Pictou, the sum of five hundred dollars; To my brother Joseph Thorn the sum of three hundred dollars; To Mrs. Lena Thorn wife of Oliver Thorn, Pictou, the sum of two hundred dollars; To Mary Estella Veniot the sum of five hundred dollars; to Gladys Veniot daughter of said Alcide Veniot the sum of two hundred dollars; to Alphosine Bourque daughter of William Bourque Magdalene Islands, the sum of three hundred dollars; to Alma Boufford daughter of Alfred Boufford, Magdalene Islands the sum of three hundred dollars; to Rev. Ronald McDonald, Parish Priest, Pictou, the sum of four hundred dollars; To Rev. Moses Coady, Parish Priest, Reserve Mines, the sum of three hundred dollars; to Mrs. Celine Boufford, Magdalene Islands, the sum of three hundred dollars; To Mrs. Louise Noel wife of Joseph Noel, Pictou, the sum of three hundred dollars; to Mrs Josephine Peters of Moncton, N.B., niece of my late husband the sum of three hundred dollars; to Mrs. Sarah Jane Watt of New York in the United States of America, niece of my late husband the sum of three hundred dollars; to Frank Oungay of Pictou, the sum of two hundred dollars; tt Pauline Gallant (now married and residing in New York the United States of America, daughter of Mrs. Christy Colins of Brooklyn, New York aforesaid, the sum of three hundred dollars; to Fidele Landry son of Archibald Landry, Pictou, the sum of two hundred dollars; to Lois Munro daughter of John Munro, Merchant, Pictou, the sum of two hundred dollars; to said John Munro, Merchant, Pictou, the sum of three hundred dollars for his attention and services during several years; and to Thomas Glover, Merchant, Pictou the sum of two hundred dollars.

3. I  give and bequeath to Rev. Ronald McDonald, Parish Priest, pictou and his successor in office the sum of three hundred dollars in trust for Stella Maris Church Pictou aforesaid.

4. I  give and bequeath to Rev. Ronald McDonald, Parish Priest, Pictou and his successor in office the sum of three hundred dollars in trust for Stella Maris Convent Pictou aforesaid.

5. I also give  and bequeath to Rev. Ronald McDonald, Parish Priest, Pictou and his successor in office the sum of one hundred dollars in trust for the Roman Catholic Cemetery Pictou aforesaid..

6. I give, devise and bequeath to Seraphine Veniot wife of Alcide Veniot, Pictou the southern half of the lot of land owned by me on the east side of Crichton Street, Pictou, with the dwelling thereon absolutely.

7. I give, devise and bequeath to Mary Estella Veniot daughter of said Alcide Veniot of Pictou, the northern half of the lot of land owned by me on the east side of Crichton Street, Pictou aforesaid, with the dwelling house thereon and all the household furniture and utensils therein contained absolutely.

8. I give, devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate and effects both real and personal to the hereinbefore mentioned Mrs. Christy Gallant, Mrs Mary Jane Arsneault, Mrs. Josephine Peters, Joseph Thorn and Louis Thorn to be equally divided between them, share and share alike.

8. I hereby appoint John Munro of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Merchant, to be  executor of this my Will.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have set my hand and seal this fifth day of June  A.D., 1912.

Signed and executed by the above named Sarah Gallant, testatrix, as and for her last Will and Testament, the same having been read over and explained to her and she seeming perferctly to understand the same, and directing her name to be signed thereto and the said testatrix's name being signed thereto under her said direction in her and our presence and she having made her mark thereto in our presence  and we having in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as witnesses.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing type writing paper is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Sarah Gallant  late of Pictou in said County Widow deceased  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the eighth  day of October AD 1912.
