Estate of William Fraser, late of Blanchard, Framer deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds


This indenture made this 17th day of March 1894
Sheweth that I William Fraser of Blanchard East River of Pictou & Province of Nova Scotia Farmer, being in good health and of sound mine, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.


First, I give and bequeath to my grand son William Fraser all the real estate or lot of land which I now occupy Situated at Blanchard aforesaid in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Bounded as follows on the North side by lands of Evan McDougall, on the South by lands of Alexander Fraser, on the East by lands of Archy McIntosh, on the West by lands of Simon Archibald Campbell containing in all one Hundred and ten acres more or less. To the said William Fraser my grand son his heirs and assigns together with all the live stock, horses, cattle, sheep, and any other live stock whatever of which I am possessed at my decease, together with all farming implements on said property.


Subject however, to the following conditions, that is to say, that the said William Fraser, will giver or cause to be given, to my beloved wife yearly and every year during her natural life, the following, that is enough fuel or firewood for her use every year, also the use of two cows yearly and every year, also Six Sheep with three lambs if any, yearly and every year, and one dozen hens if she wishes to keep such, also two barrels of good wheat flour, one barrel of good oatmeal and ten Bushels of Potatoes, also provide for her a horse and waggon when required to go from home to Church. Also that the said William Fraser give my grand Bellah Grace Fraser a command education and a comfortable home with her grandmother while she remains or until she gets married. Also that he gives Archibald Fraser my son one hundred Dollars to be given by my executors hereinafter named, when they see proper or when it will be required.


I give and bequeath to my Beloved wife Elizabeth Fraser the house I now occupy with all its contents Bed clothes and furniture during her natural life and also the piece or parcel of land before the house- commencing at the gate on the line or Alexander's gate, thence along the road going between the shop and the house until it comes to the fence behind the house, thence along the said fence until it comes to the lower corner of the barn, thence in a straight line to Alex. Fraser's line, thence along said line to place of beginning - containing one and one half acres more or less, for her use and benefit during her natural life and after her decease to revert to William Fraser , my grand son - aforesaid, with the house thereon, & its contents.


Also I give to my beloved wife, all the money to which I shall be entitled at my decease, notes of hand, Bank deposits, or otherways for her use during her natural life, with the understanding that the balance remaining of the money at her decease shall revert to Bellah Grace Fraser, my grand daughter.


with the foregoing conditions I impose upon William Fraser my grand son, the duty of a decent burial for myself and my wife and that he furnish a respectable headstone to mark our last resting place, costing not less than forty dollars.


Lastly I nominate and appoint as my executors to this my last Will and Testament, George A. McKenzie of St. Paul's East River, Farmer, with Duncan Fraser, Elder  of Blanchard.

I, William Fraser Testator to the foregoing will do hereby make & publish this Codicil to my last Will and Testament, bearing date March 17 1894 in the manner following, my will is that beloved wife Elizabeth have a joint control in the management of the farm stock with William Fraser my grand son, until said Fraser will be married when he will assume full control of Farm stock and all implements about the farm.


2nd. that fifty dollars be given gracie my daughter out of the Money bequeathed to my beloved wife by my executors.


3rd. I also order that Bellah Grace my grand daughter one Cow when she gets married or finally leaves the place, to be provided out of the stock on the farm bequeathed to William Fraser my grandson.


4th. I appoint Simon A. Campbell as Executor to act with the two men already appointed.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of three pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament and Codicil of William Fraser late of Blanchard, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
