Estate of John K. Fraser, late of New Glasgow, Gentleman, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I John K. Fraser formerly of New Glasgow at present of Acadia farm in the County of Pictou  hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

I nominate and appoint my father Donald Fraser, and J. Fred. McDonald of New Glasgow, Collector of Customs, to be executors of and trustees of and under this will.

I devise and bequeath to said Executors and trustees all my real and personal property of every kind upon the following trusts.

(1) To sell all the said property to the best advantage and to collect all debts and moneys due and growing due to me.

(2) Then to invest and keep invested all the proceeds and moneys coming to them under and by virtue of this will, such proceeds and monies to be kept invested in good mortgage securities, on real estate, in the Government Saving's Bank, and in reliable chartered banks, and no other way.

(3) to pay yearly to my wife Jessie A. Fraser until she marries again the interest arising upon all said proceeds and moneys.

(4) Should my wife marry again then, said Trustees or their Successors shall within a reasonable time, thereafter, pay the bequests mentioned in paragraph six out of said proceeds and moneys equally between my said wife and next of the following named persons as shall be living at the time of such marriage, namely, my father, my mother, and Alexander Fraser, Donald A. Fraser, Albert E. Fraser, A. McGillivray Fraser, my brothers.

(5) At my wife's death said trustees or their Successors shall within a reasonable time thereafter, pay the bequests mentioned in paragraph Six out of the said proceeds and moneys, and then divided the balance of said proceeds and moneys equally between such of the following named personas as shall be living at the time of my wife's death, namely- my father, my mother and my brothers mentioned in paragraph four.

(6) In the event of my wife's marriage or death my said trustees or their successors shall before making the general and final distribution of proceeds and moneys under paragraph four or paragraph five pay twenty dollars to each of the following named persons who shall be living, Donald Fraser McDonald, the son of J. Fred McDonald, George A. Gordon Fraser, and Donald A. Fraser, who are sons of my brother Alexander, and Richard Fraser and Hector M. Fraser, who are sons of Isabella Fraser.

 I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made

In witness whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name this twenty second day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty eight.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John K. Fraser late f New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, Gentleman, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou this 29th day of June A.D. 1889.
