Estate of James Fraser, late of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen.
I James Fraser of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Grocer, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and bearing in mind the certainty of death but the uncertainty of time thereof, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament as follows viz -
First. I will and direct that all my just debts Funeral expenses and the expenses attending the settlement of my Estate to be paid by my executors and Executrix out of the personal property left by me at the time of my decease.
Second. I give devise and bequeath all my Real Estate and all teh rest and residue of my personal property including moneys, notes of hand, Book accounts Goods Chattels an effects of whatsoever nature and wherever the same may be, that may belong to me at the time of my decease to my beloved wife Margaret for her Sole and absolute use and to be disposed of by hr in which ever way she may think proper.
Third. I hereby nominate and appoint Mr. Joseph A. Gordon of Pictou aforesaid Merchant and my beloved wife Margaret Fraser, executor and executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and disannulling all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and set at Pictou this Fifteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy.

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I, James Fraser of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Merchant, do make this my Codicil hereby confirming my last will made on the Fifteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy.
And all my former Codicils, so far as this Codicil is consistent therewith, And do hereby Will and direct that at the death of my beloved wife Margaret, the House now occupied by me as a Dwelling Shall become te property of my beloved Daughter Sarah Ann Horne, and at her death, I will and direct that the said House shall become the property of my well beloved grand daughter Lucy Margaret Horne.
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and set at Pictou this First day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and eighty six.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament and Codicil of James Fraser, late of Pictou, in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 25th day of March A.D. 1891.
