Certified Copy of Will of Daniel Fraser, Deceased

I Daniel Fraser of Westville in the County of Pictou, Merchant do  hereby revoke all former wills and Testamentary dispositions made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament

I appoint James McLeod  of Westville in the County of Pictou  Merchant and Alexander Robertson of the same place Merchant to be the executor and Trustees of this my  last Will

 I give and bequeath to my daughter Maggie Ann the wife of Robert H. McKay the dwelling house in which we now live in and the lot and premises in connection therewith as previously laid off together with all the household furniture now therein but this on condition that she pay my son James the sum of two hundred Dollars

I give and bequeath to my son James I give and bequeath the sum of three hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid out of my life insurance money but which sum I direct my executors to pay to George McDonald to discharge any indebtedness which may then be owing to him by my son James or myself. I also give and bequeath to my son James the further sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid out of my life insurance money but which I direct my executors to place to the credit of my daughter Jessie Conn in a sound reliable Bank the same to be a repayment of the sum borrowed by him from my said granddaughter Jessie Conn

I give and bequeath to my grand children Isabella Fraser and Thomas Fraser the sum of fifty Dollars each which several sums I direct to be paid out of my life insurance and to be deposited at interest for them in some reliable Bank and to be paid them when they shall have attained the age of twenty one years. To my Grandson Donald McKay son of my daughter Maggie I bequeath the sum of fifty Dollars to be deposited and paid out in the manner above set forth. To my granddaughter Jessie Conn I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred Dollars to be paid out of my life insurance monies. I give to her also the organ now in my dwelling house and I request that she shall have a house provided for her as long as she shall need or desire it up to the time she arrives of the age of twenty one years. The said sum of one hundred Dollars I direct to be deposited and paid out in the same manner and times as I have already directed to be done in respect to my other grandchildren Provided always that if any of my said grandchildren shall die before they reach the age of twenty one years, leaving no issue then the sums of money hereby granted is to revert to their parents if parents dead then to their next of kin

To my son John D Fraser I give and bequeath all the rest of my real and personal property of whatsoever nature and wheresoever situated

In Witness Whereof I the said Daniel Fraser the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament in this and the foregoing sheet of paper set my hand and seal this         day of May  A.D., 1901.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Daniel Fraser late of Westville in the County of Pictou Merchant deceased  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 15th  day of July AD 1904.  

Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 15th. day of July AD 1904.
