Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen.
I Alexander Fraser of Hardwood Hill, County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia, being frail in body, but of perfect mind, thanks be given God, calling into mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and testament, that is to say,
first of all, I recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial, at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God, and as to touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me, in this life I give demise and bequeath the same in the following manner and form that is to say.
First, I give and bequeath to my beloved son Peter Fraser all my possessions including all my lands, Stock, and farming utensils, on condition that he the said Peter Fraser does comfortably provide for and maintain my beloved wife Betsey and my beloved daughter Dolina Grace. And in case of any disagreement between the said Peter Fraser my son, and my wife Betsey, I order her to get possession of the kitchen and bedroom to the east end of the house, but in case she should get married, she my beloved wife Betsey shall have no more claim to any part of my estate nor claim any thing from my son Peter. I exclude all the rest of my family from having share in or making any demand on my estate or upon any of my possessions, with the exception of one shilling sterling. I constitute make and ordain Lauchlin McInnis (Hector's son) and Kenneth McCauley my son in law executors of this my last Will and testament,
And I do hereby utterly disallow and disannul all former wills, legacies and executors by me in any wise named or willed, ratifying and conforming this, and no other to be my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this sixth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and eighty two.
