Estate of Adam Fraser, late of Little Harbor, Framer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds I

n the name of God, Amen.

The thirty first day of August One thousand eight hundred and eighty one -

I Adam Fraser of Little Harbor in the County of Pictou, being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of the body, knowing that is appointed unto all men once to die do make and this my last Will and testament, that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God, and as to touching such worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First, I give and bequeath to Nancy my dearly beloved wife the free right and privilege of all and singular my real and personal estate for her maintenance and support during her life time, viz,- said portion of my estate Butted and bounded as follows, on the North by the waters of Little Harbor, on the East by lands of Daniel McDonald, on the South by the Highway leading through Little Harbor, and on the West by lands belonging to John Colquhoun, and at her decease to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors hereafter mentioned.

Also, I give and bequeath unto my wife Nancy full power and Authority to will and dispose of the same to whom she pleases at her discretion.

Also, I appoint make constitute and ordain George Laurie Esquire to be my executor ratifying and confirming this to be my last Will and Testament, and no other, whereunto I have set and Subscribed my hand and Seal this thirty first day of August(1881) one thousand eight hundred and Eighty one.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Adam Fraser, late of Little Harbor in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
