LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF Roderick A. Forbes, Deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that I Roderick Alexander Forbes, of Abercrombie, in the County of Pictou, in the Province of Nova Scotia, farmer, do hereby make and publish this as my last will and testament in the terms following, to wit:
1. I hereby give and bequeath unto my brother Donald Forbes all my property, real and personal, moveable and immoveable, and wheresoever situate, upon and subject to the following terms and conditions.
2. It is my will that my two sisters, Barbara Jean Forbes, and Kathleen Ellen Forbes, Widow of the latte Malcolm McKenzie, shall , during their lifetime, have the right to reside with my said brother Donald Forbes upon the farm where we have resided and where they are still living, my will being that they shall permanently have a home there.
3. IN the event of my brother Donald predeceasing my two said sisters, all the property granted and bequeathed to the said Donald Forbes shall belong to my said two sisters and to the survivor of them; after the death of the last living of my two said sisters, the property hereby willed shall belong to my niece, Maria wife of Nathaniel Priestly;
4. It is my will that the farm shall be kept up and maintained by my brother Donald as a home for himself and my two said sisters, but if it should be found desirable and necessary to sell the farm, I hereby expressly authorize and empower my executors hereinafter named to sell the said farm provided that the proceeds thereof, or a sufficient portion of such proceeds be immediately employed in the purchase of a home so that my sisters may always during their lifetime be provided with a residence.
5. I give and bequeath to Hector McDonald Milne one milch cow.
6. I hereby nominate and appoint my said brother, Donald Forbes, and James M. Milne to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby granting to them full power to sell my real estate or any interest therein, and directing them to pay with as little delay as possible all the expenses of my last illness and other just debts..

Dated at Montreal this tenth day of July, 1911.
The foregoing will was signed by the said testator Roderick Alexander Forbes after the same had been read over to him in our presence, the said testator in our presence as aforesaid acknowledging the same to be his last will and testament.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Roderick Alexander Forbes late of Abercrombie in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 10th day of October AD 1911.
