In the name of God, Amen. I William Cumming of New Glasgow, in the County of Pictou, being of sound mind and memory, but knowing the uncertainty of life, and the certainty of death, do make my last Will and Testament in manner and form following -

1st. I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty Dollars unto the Reverend D.B. Blair of Barney's River.

2nd . I give and bequeath unto my son John Summing One Hundred and Sixty Acres of land owned by me, said land being situated at moose River in the said County of Pictou - After he the said John Cumming shall pay or cause to be paid the above bequest to Rev. D.B. Blair- and all necessary expenses connected with my burial, said burial to take place at Sunny Brae, East River.

3rd. I nominate and appoint Hugh Ross Joiner, and Peter Campbell, Blacksmith, both of said New Glasgow, as Executors of this my said last Will and Testament.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William Cumming late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
