Vida and Jean were the daughters of William Webster and Mary Eliza Spencer.  William Webster was an engineer born about 1856 in Pictou, Nova Scotia to James and Janet Webster.  James Webster, engineer, was born at Kilmarnoch, Scotland to David and Marion Webster. Mary Eliza Spencer was born about 1860 in Great Village, Colchester County, to Thomas and Mary Jane Spencer. 

William, Mary E and their daughters lived in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

William Webster was the brother of Janet Webster McFarlane, wife of David Harper McFarlane of Pictou.
