Estate of James W. Copeland, Merchant, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

In the name of God, Amen.

I, James W. Copeland of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, being of sound mind and memory considering the uncertain tenor of life and being desirous of settling and arranging my worldly business, and disposing of such effects as it has graciously pleased the Almighty to bestow, I hereby make this my last Will and Testament.

Item, I will and bequeath to my wife Frances A. Copeland all and singular my Real Estate and personal property, with all money and Book Debts in my possession or due me.

I also request that my wife Frances A. Copeland do keep with her as long as they do, as she wishes David A. Hogg and Mary O'Neil, and at her death the Property both Real and personal to be divided between the said David A. Hogg and Mary O'Neil, share and share alike.

Item. And I hereby constitute and appoint my wife Frances A. Copeland and Duncan C. Fraser my Executors for the purpose of carrying into effect this my said last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and set this Twenty fourth day of August, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy eight.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a quarter pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James W. Copeland late of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
