Description William McDonald Family of Durham

William McDonald was born 4 January 1846 at Durham, West River, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, the son of James and Margaret Ann Archibald McDonald.

Nancy Witney Sylvester was born 26 June 1850 at Middle River, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, the daughter of David and Susan Hill Sylvester.  

William and Nancy were married 12 December 1871 at Middle River, Pictou County.  They lived and raised their family of 11 children at Durham.
