Estate of William Cole, late of Carriboo, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by these presents that I William Coles of Beaches Carriboo in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

1st. I give and devise to my daughters Christy Coles and Margaret Coles one half of the Lot of land whereon I now reside situate at the Beaches Carriboo, in said County with the buildings thereon bounded as follows, on the North east by lands occupied by Robert Murdoch, on the South by lands belonging to the County, on the South west by lands devised to my son William Coles and on the west by lands belonging to John Murdoch, To have and to hold the said premises with the appurtenances to them the said Christy Coles and Margaret Coles their heirs and assigns forever.

2nd I give and devise to my son William Coles the younger the remaining half of my said lot of land situated at Carriboo aforesaid, To have and to hold the same with all the appurtenances to him the said William Coles and his heirs and assigns forever. 3rd. I also bequeath to my daughters Christy Coles and Margaret Coles aforesaid all my personal property consisting of household furniture, Stock, Implements of husbandry and all other such personal property belonging to me at the time of my death also all debts due to me after paying my debts and funeral expenses.

I ordain and appoint John McLeod and Robert Murdoch of Beaches as Executors to this my last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal and publish and declare this to be my last Will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below the Third day of August in the year A.D. 1871.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William Cole, late of Carriboo in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
