Identified as William McLeod born 22 November 1821.

William was the son of Hugh and Margaret McIntosh McLeod of Heathbell, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

Williams father Hugh was born 9 June 1788 in Durness, Sutherlandshire, Scotland and was the son of pioneer John McLeod and Ann McKenzie McLeod.  John John McLeod died in 1818 at Hardwood Hill, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. 

Willliam born 1821 relocated to St Andrew, New Brunwick where he was employed as a ship's carpenter.  He and his wife Ada had several children.  William died in 1903 in St Andrew.
