Mary Jane was the daugther of Duncan and Mary Cameron McMillan, born 23 January 1841. She was a sister to Rev John, Rev George, Daniel A and Duncan McMillan. Mary Jane McMillan married Alexander McDonald on the 10th of May 1865. Alexander was the son of Allan and Janet Grant McDonald of Hardwood Hill.
Mary Jane McMillan McDonald died on the 8th of January 1925, leaving seven children of her nine children. Her husband, Alexander McDonald died in 1920. Their daughter Bessie Wiswell McDonald and their son Daniel Hubert McDonald predeceased them. They are all buried at Scotch Hill Cemetery, Scotch Hill, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
This album is a collection of family and friends. Some lived near Hardwood Hill and others on the other side of the Canada and the United States.
