George Wescott Hansen, born 10 June 1848 in Kongsberg, Norway the son of Rasmus and Ellen Hansen. 

He married Mary Elizabeth Kelley on 16 May 1875 in Bellville, Kansas

Mary Elizabeth Kelley was the daughter of Alfred and Margaret McDonald Kelley. 

George and Mary had three children:  Gertrude born 1876, DeWitt born 1880 and Harry B born 1878.  Harry died in infancy.  DeWitt died in 1953 and Gertrude in 1979.

George Hansen, a retired banker died in 1936.
