Estate of John A. Campbell, late of Hardwood Hill, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen. I John A. Campbell of Hardwood Hill in the County of Pictou, Farmer, being of sound mind and memory Do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
I give devise and bequeath to my Beloved son James C. Campbell the homestead farm on which I now reside when he shall attain the age of twenty one years, requiring of the said James C. Campbell that he provide a comfortable home for each of his sisters while they remain with him, and in the event of their marriage to give each and all of them the sum of Forty dollars.'
I also give devise and bequeath to my son James C. Campbell all the stock which shall be on the farm or thereto belong, with all the household furniture of every kind and description, which shall belong to the said homestead property at the time when he shall attain the age of twenty one years.
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth, the management and oversight of the farm with all the profits accruing therefrom to be by her judiciously applied towards the support of herself and family untill my son James C. Campbell attains the age of twenty one years, providing she remain unmarried but in the event of her remaining of her marriage she thereby forfeits all claims to the property and the management of affairs and Guardianship of the Children shall afterwards be under the direction of the afternamed executors.
I hereby devise that my son James C. on arriving at the age of twenty years shall therefore provide a competent and comfortable support for his mother and if preferred by her, shall provide for her part of the house to be used ad occupied by her at will, provided she remain single and remain with him on the homestead property.
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth any money that I may be in possession of at the time of my death, also all debts, dues, and demands.
I hereby constitute and appoint David Ferguson, and James Campbell of Scotch Hill to be my lawful Executors of this my said last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereto my hand and seal subscribed and set at Hardwood Hill aforesaid this Twelfth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in our presence who did in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribe our names as witnesses attending the execution thereof.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages or thereabouts, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John A. Campbell late of Hardwood Hill in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
