Estate of Alexander Campbell late of Cape John, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God Amen. I Alexander Campbell of Cape John County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia feeling the infirmities of age, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for his great goodness, Do hereby thus make my last Will and testament in manner and form following viz- First of all I commend my Spirit to Almighty God that gave it and my body to the dust whence it came, And as touching such worldly effects wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I bequeath and dispose of the same as follows -
I give and bequeath to my beloved Brother Hugh all my Real Estate consisting of One hundred acres more or less and is adjoining lands belonging to the Heirs of the late John McLeod to be possessed and enjoyed by the said Hugh and Heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to my beloved nephews Colin Campbell, Robert Campbell, Alexander Campbell, Ebenezer Hugh Campbell, William Hector Campbell, Jefse Campbell, James Angus Campbell, Eight Dollars currency, And should any residue remain of my personal property after the foregoing Legacies are paid, I give and bequeath the same to my Beloved Brother Hugh in addition to the Real property already mentioned.
Lastly I constitute and appoint my Beloved Brother Hugh, and trust worthy friend Donald McKenzie to be joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
And in order to ratify and confirm the foregoing as my last Will and testament, I hereunto subscribe my name and set my Seal on this the Eighth day of May in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy seven.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander Campbell late of Cape John in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this 15th day of December A.D. 1886. John H. Lane Registrar

Province of Nova Scotia Registrars Office Pictou 8th Octr 1887 I certify that the within instrument was duly registered at noon of the above day in the registry of Wills Book No 2 pages 7 & 8 on the certificate of John H. Lane Regr. of Probate John Ferguson Rgr.
