Married.

At Thornbank, West River, by the Rev. George Reddick, on the 17yh ult, Mr John Fitzpatrick, of Scotsburn, to Miss Maggie A. Young, of Dalhousie Mountain.

At Westville, on the evening of the 19th instant, by the Rev. T. Cumming, Rowland G. Evans, Esq. to Miss Ann Hayman, both of Boston, U.S.

In Carson City, August 5th, by the Rev. Mr. Norton, Mr. Wm. R. McKay of Gold Hill, formerly of New Glasgow, to Miss Mary Jane Copeland, of Merigomish, Pictou Co., N. S.

Died. 

At Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Tuesday, the 17th inst., at the advanced age of 78 years, Jas. Douglas Hazard, Esq., formerly Queen's Printer of the Island. The deceased was supposed to be, at the time of his death, the oldest resident native of the city.  For 25 years he published successively the P.E.I. Register, The Royal Gazette and Hazard's Gazette, being for many years the only journalist in the colony.

At Three-mile House, Pictou, on the 21st instant, Catherine Brown, beloved wife of John Logan, Esq., in the 57th year of her age.

At New Glasgow, on Friday 20th, instant, Ethel Jane, aged 3 years, on Saturday 21st, instant, Emily, wife fo Mr Colin McLean aged 25 years, also infant son, aged 11 days, all of malignant Scarlet Fever.

At New Glasgow, Aug 21st, Jessie Grant, aged 9 months, infant daughter of William and Sarah Flemming.

At Sunny Brae, East River, on Monday, August 23rd, Bella Roena, aged 3 years and 1 month, daughter of Daniel and Jane Fraser.
